The mountain bike track is between Boo Park and the Royal Fremantle Golf Course, in an area considered not suitable either for golf or walking. I believe kids saw the potential for a downhill ride with jumps and simply made it themselvesโas early as 2018.

The first of its kind in WA, the Booyeembara Park Mountain Bike Trails feature two trails to cater for intermediate and experienced riders, along with a pump track for beginners. Booyeembara Park is on the corner of Stevens and Montreal Streets Fremantle and adjacent to the (public) Fremantle Golf Course to the north and the (private) Royal Fremantle Golf Course to the east. In the photo below, one of the RFGC greens can be seen bottom right, and the 17th tee is at the top.
